The Echomax EM12 is a 30 cm (12 in) octahedral ball radar reflector, ISAF 2015 compliant and listed on the USCG-approved radar reflector list — lightweight, flat-packed and ideal for everyday or emergency use.

- Packed weight 730 g (16.5 oz); supplied as a flat-packed item for quick assembly
- Maximum RCS 5.57 m²; average RCS 1.77 m² — mount in catch-rain position with open corners facing the horizon
- RORC recommend mounting height 4 m (13 ft); mounting heights of 3–11 m (10–35 ft) give approx. 4–7 nautical miles radar response
- Mount in a flange mount for direct cabin-roof installation or suspend from rigging on sailboats in catch-rain position
- Optional extras sold separately include a PVC 15 cm (6") 1/14 TPI adapter that fits VHF/GPS fittings
