The Echomax Active X‑Band Radar Target Enhancer (RTE) antenna receives X‑band radar pulses, amplifies and re‑transmits them with minimal delay to increase the radar visibility of small vessels.
- Frequency: X‑band 9.3-9.5 GHz
- Intended for vessels up to 25 m (82 ft)
- Typical improvement - increases detection range by 1.6-3.2 km (1-2 miles)
- Potential reach - may extend detection to 12.9-16.1 km (8-10 miles) or more depending on conditions
- Operates by receiving, amplifying and re‑transmitting radar pulses with minimal delay
- Best suited to small craft and rigid inflatables, and vessels without radar fitted
- Will not significantly enhance vessels with large radar cross sections
- Performance depends on RTE-radar range, radar height above sea level, radar power and condition
- Antenna only - RTE unit supplied without mounting hardware or additional electronics
