LALIZAS Hydrostatic release unit for EPIRB frees the beacon by hydrostatic pressure if the vessel sinks, meeting lifesaving appliance requirements.
- Releases EPIRB at 1.5-4 m (5-13 ft) by hydrostatic pressure.
- Supplied as unit only; bolt and mounting kit sold separately.
- Glass‑reinforced nylon construction resists corrosion.
- Complies with LSA requirements / MSC.81(70) as amended.
- Replace 2 years after installation or 4 years after manufacture.
- Fits most EPIRBs; replace the mounting bolt with the HRU.
- Install in place of the bolt and mark the expiry date on the label.
Check and replace the unit within the service life to ensure reliable automatic release and regulatory compliance.
