Compass Iris 50 Sand Z/AB is a robust dual‑function hand‑bearing and prism compass optimised for marine and field navigation.
- Two functions: hand‑bearing and prism compass for course‑over‑ground readings.
- Graduation: 1° increments; field of view 20°; clearance 12°.
- No parallax error — the prism projects the bearing to infinity; course readable from above the compass.
- Shockproof construction with a very hard‑stone pivot for long life and reliable bearings.
- Soft bottom cell ultrasonically welded to act as an expansion diaphragm and prevent bubbles or leaks.
- Built‑in photoluminescent lighting (no batteries or tritium) for night use.
- MILS option: direct reading 400 MIL; prism reading 200 MIL. MILS graduation available on request (IRIS 50 MILS ref. 63879).
