The Type R remote drive system makes sterndrive installations easy for both single or dual engine systems. The installation kit simply clamps to the steering cylinder with no drilling or cutting required. Two packs are available to suit the most common Mercruiser and Volvo Penta sterndrive systems.

 

For Older Mercruiser engines (pre 1994) use System B.

The Octopus Mech Remote Drive System Package is designed for twin engine Mercruiser boats from 1994 and later. This mechanical linear drive system features a short RAM stroke of 8.5 inches (216mm) for easy and precise control of your boat's engine. The package includes all the necessary components for installation, making it a convenient and cost-effective solution for your boating needs.
