The Victron MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 combines a 1200 VA pure sine-wave inverter, a 50 A adaptive battery charger and a high-speed 16 A AC transfer switch in a compact UPS-style unit for marine, RV/campervan and off-grid applications. Quiet pure-sine output, fast automatic transfer for UPS continuity, adaptive 4-stage charging and PowerAssist/PowerControl provide reliable, flexible power management.

• Inverter: 12 V nominal input; input voltage range 9.5–17 V. Output 230 VAC ±2% (at 5 W); 1200 VA rating, 1000 W continuous, peak power 2,400 W. Maximum efficiency 93%. Zero-load power 10 W.
• Charger: 50 A adaptive 4-stage charger (bulk, absorption, float, storage). AC input voltage range 187–265 VAC. Typical charge voltages: absorption 14.4 V, float 13.8 V, storage 13.2 V. Charge current to house battery 50 A; starter battery 1 A.
• Transfer switch and UPS: Built-in high-speed 16 A AC transfer switch with automatic transfer in under 20 ms to keep sensitive equipment running. Dip switches provided for remote and inverter/charger configuration. Control panel not included.
• PowerControl and PowerAssist: PowerControl lets you set a maximum AC input current to prioritise loads when shore or generator current is limited. PowerAssist supplements the AC source by adding inverter power during peaks from a limited shore or generator supply.
• Expandable operation: Units can be connected in parallel with identical devices to increase capacity and can be configured for 3-phase systems with additional units and accessories.
• Battery features and protections: BatterySafe mode prevents excessive stress from high charge currents and voltages. Storage mode reduces float voltage during long idle periods to limit battery ageing. Bulk protection can limit bulk charging time to 10 hours. Temperature compensation is provided via the supplied temperature sensor.
• Safety and reliability: Integrated protection against overload, short circuit, overheating and excessive output ripple. WeakAC detection reduces charger operation when input voltage is severely distorted.
• Controls and monitoring: Programmable relay for alarms or automated control. Remote monitoring and control when connected to a GX device (e.g., Cerbo GX) and the VRM online portal. Follow Victron installation guidance for wiring and ventilation.
